Professional Development aims
- to equip the teacher-to-be with actual teaching experience in the classrooms, guided and mentored by teachers and Centre staff, and
- to develop professional skills for carrying out the roles of a teacher beyond the classroom: working with colleagues and parents, supporting children with specific needs and becoming a life-long learner through ongoing research.
Module listing
The ability to teach is developed by means of practicals in schools. Host teachers and Centre staff mentor the trainee-teacher, leading to assessment over an extended period of time (26 weeks).

The writing of a dissertation (mini-thesis) is undertaken in the 4th year of the full-time programme (6th year of the part-time programme). Preparation for writing the dissertation happens the year before:
