Pictured: In March children come together from the 10 Waldorf primary schools throughout the Western Cape Province to participate in an overnight Olympic Games gathering hosted by Constantia Waldorf School. Over 175 Grade 6 children participate. For Zenzeleni School from Khayelitsha township, Khanyisa School for Supportive Education, and McGregor Waldorf from over the mountains, 2007 was the first time to join in the annual event. Children are intermingled into the four cities of Athens, Sparta, Thebes and Corinth, whereby camaraderie and competition ensue for about thirty hours, including successful efforts to keep an eternal flame burning throughout the night.
