Pictured: In March 2007 children came together from the 10 Waldorf primary schools throughout the Western Cape Province to participate in an overnight Olympic Games gathering. Over 175 Grade 6 children participated. For Zenzeleni School, Khanyisa School for Supportive Education, and McGregor Waldorf from over the mountains, this was the first time to join in the annual event. Children were intermingled into the four cities of Athens, Sparta, Thebes and Corinth, whereby camaraderie and competition ensued for about thirty hours, including a successful effort to keep an eternal flame burning throughout the night.
